The seeds of freedom start to bloom in Iraq . . .
This is how true freedom is grown and preserved: hard work, self-sufficiency, and pride in what you have made. The kind of pride that will move you to defend it with your life, no matter what the odds. It is also what distinguishes American freedom from the pale imitation of democratic socialism.

It also gives me hope that Iraq will succeed despite all of the difficulties that lie ahead.
